This is my first post, so bare with me.

I've suffered from depression for some time now, but started managing it with medication two years ago. Since I first started using medication as a form of treatment, I quickly discovered how pain staking the process is it was to simply:

A) Find a doctor

B) Get an Appointment

C) Get to the doctor in less than 8 weeks

Once I was able to overcome that obstacle, the medication was the next. I trialed at least 6 different medications within the last two years and I STILL don't feel good. My doctor will ask me if I want to go back and try the first medication again but it's been so long, I honestly don't even remember how well it worked. This is frustrating, isn't there a better way to do this?

I'm a senior in college so I'm still new to the world let alone the world of mental health.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Thanks!

Yep, changed therapists and psychiatrists.

None of the medication programs worked for me ecen though I followed them long term but then unlike you I also have a weird metabolism and imune system that rejects substances tgat is whylocal anestaetics never work for me like lidicaine has no effect on me or pain killers like ketamine have no effect on me...

That is why I am in my 9th year of major depression with no therapy and no medication help, finding my path on my own...
