Let others help

When I was suffering from depression, I kept it all to myself. In front of my friends and family, I acted like I was completely fine. I thought: "It's no big deal. It's not like I have any physical pain or illness going on. What's the point of sharing with others, it's not gonna make any difference." Now I realize that I was only making things worse for myself. Being silent and reclusive is toxic when you're going through depression. There are so many people who care about you; let them help. They may not be a counselor or a psychotherapist, but just talking to them helps a bunch. Help yourself by letting others help :)

Hey Christine!

You are absolutely spot on!

Keeping things hidden and locked away will only make your pain and suffering so much harder to deal with, by being open and honest about your depression can give you confidence to stand tall and be proud of who you are! Let people in, allow them to help you, and watch you grown as a Person!

I think you amazing! Your message is a very powerful one 🙂

Have a wonderful day sweetheart
