Loneliness in college

Im currently in college and Ive been getting this overwhelming feeling of loneliness. I have 2 really close friends that Ive met here and they really care about me and support me. But when Im alone in my dorm for whatever reason I just start overthinking my day and get lonely and get too anxious and afraid to go to floor dinners even though that was something I always used to do up until a month ago. The only thing I want to do is hang out with my 2 friends but I know thats not realistic and I dont know how to help myself.
