Lost

I sometimes feel lost, feel out of place everywhere, seems like I've never belonged anywhere, every place I've moved to even my own home town I just don't belong. All my relationships I've had (only 4 in my lifetime and I'm 43 one of which I was married to) I got lied to, cheated on, then left like I never mattered. Just seems like everything keeps changing. Dating and making new friends that I could actually hang out have someplace to go to and someone to do things with all of that would be great and would definitely help a lot in the way I've been feeling the problem is in over the last 4 years it seems like an impossible goal. You name it I have tried every way possible Internet dating is a nightmare even finding new friends locally to hang out with is also seems impossible. I get it I'm shy and a lot more nervous then I used to be but that doesn't mean I don't put myself out there and still try with everything of me but rejection over time does do a lot to someone's system and makes you feel like no one wants you and no one wants to be around you. Ppl around locally just seems like no one wants to talk to strangers anymore I literally don't know how to approach anyone or how to even go about to date a woman either when most of the time everyone's to busy talking to others or doing other things to not even pay attention to anyone else. I have friends at work but not that really do anything outside work other then a board game group I go to but even that group I thought could meet some new ppl that might want to talk chat or hang out outside the group no one ever does I feel like I'm out of ideas I really don't know what to do anymore and it feels like my interests are getting so mundane I feel like a robot doing the same thing over and over.

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know you're not alone. I'm 32 and haven't been in many relationships either, but they've all ended badly. And yeah, "making friends" isn't as easy as the kid's programs out there want to have you believe when you're young. As far as they're concerned you can just go up to someone, maybe marvel at the number 11 and a letter Q, and boom you've made a Friend Till The End. When you grow up it's more of a labyrinth of text etiquette and and small talk. Sending all my love and support to you hon.

This message brought to you by the letter Q.

@buggsby

I hope it's ok to respond to your post

I feel as though finally someone gets it, someone out there knows at least a bit of what i've gone through

And how it's soo much harder to make friends now and even more so meeting new ppl for a new potential future relationship.

Sometimes i feel like the world keeps changing so much, it can make someone's head spin.

It's definitely not as easy to meet new ppl when you're an older adult.

Most ppl are so reserved that you're lucky if you say hi they would say hi back even.

I've asked around so many times to so many ppl if they had any idea where to even start to meet new ppl.

Every suggestion they came across i had tried and in my town it seems almost useless since most won't even talk to anyone except ppl they allready know.

If that isn't enough life in itself isn't so grand.

You keep seeing other's post online on other sites talking about how so many have their life all together and make so much money or have a car have their own house.....they all seem like they live so much more above everyone else.....what about the others who just have a job just to live by and just wants some happiness with someone and some friends. I don't understand sometimes how life has gotten so complicated.
