I had an affair with my superior who cheated on me with another coworker. (I know Im wrong, someone who cheat with me will cheat on me, I finally learnt). Its been half a year but I still cant seems to move on. The thought of how he lied, scolded, reprimanded, blamed, put me down hit me hard on my self esteem multiple times when I confronted raged me, I hated him to the brim. He treated me like Im the one who is wrong now!

Tried reading motivational books but didnt aid at all. The feeling having to face them laughing and eyeing each other daily irks me. I cant leave nor find a new job and I need a job!

To make matter worst, I make a minor mistake at work which peeved my coworker despite I apologized she ostracized me. I seem to have lost everything suddenly! My work life seem so grey! I dont know what to do. I dread going to work!

@Nobodyknow I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling hopeless. There IS hope, and I know that you will get through this and things will get better. Just know that you are incredibly strong and brave for reaching out for support and talking about this situation. It sounds like your supervisor uses his power and authority to take advantage of his employees. You are not to blame for this.

@Nobodyknow I am sorry that this happened to you. I agree with @queenofakind. You are not to blame for this. In the country I live in, these things are illegal, because supervisors have power over their subordinates that they can wield unjustly. I am not sure if you have similar laws or rules where you are.

I understand that finding another job is difficult, but if possible, please try so that you can get out of this situation.

I absolutely undertand feeling rage about what happened, but the emotions you are feeling might come across in work, which may impact your standing. The reason I know this is because I had a similar situation. I couldn't get over the rage I was feeling and ended up getting forced to leave the job because of how I came across in the job.
