Maintaining a School/Life Balance

For the record, I consider myself a strong student - at least before this term. School has consumed so much of my time and life, that I have forgotten what it's like to be an actual person (making friends, socializing, loving oneself). Literally all I do is go to class, study at a library, and go home. Rinse, and repeat. Now, I know that it'll probably be like this once I graduate. I will have more opportunity though, as I'll have a car let alone a source of income.

My depression has done a number on me significantly. Either I power through and get good marks, or start enjoying life the way one should. Or better yet: get the best of both worlds by balancing things out. Thats the thing though. The moment I start enjoying myself, I fall behind and my grades nosedive.

The whole "finish in four" expectation also taunts me. Because once I cross that stage, I feel like I'll only face a world I didn't prepare myself for.

This post is probably all over the place, haha. Any suggestions you guys may have?

I am so sorry that you feel like you don't have a life out of school and that no one has responded to you until now. Things do get better after school when you graduate. A lot of students that I know including my older son did the college degree in 4.5 years because of the way classes where offered. One thing to keep in mind when working on preparing for the job is to do an intern job which will help you get an in when appling in the job market. Maybe you can consider doing 1 fun thing a month if you don't have time to do more do to everything else that is going on in your life that way it is something to look forward to.
