Monsters
I wouldn't worry about the monsters under my bed. Because the monster I fear most Is inside my head and it's killed someone. It killed the person who used to be me. This monster I run from hides deep inside me. No one can see it. No one knows it's there and no one will until it kills me. Until I'm dead. And so I wait as it's prisoner in side my head.
@Theuglyduck, you're description of your struggle is very vivid. You have a way with the words, lovely. Thanks you for posting it.
*hugs*
I can completely relate to the feeling of being locked in one's mind, hiding desperately from monsters. It's like trying to outrun a pack of wolves in the snowy woods, without having a slightest of hope that you can actually achieve it. Sometimes the only way is to learn the names of your demons and to tame them, despite the resistance.
