Motivation?
So it's coming up to Christmas and I don't have the energy or the desire to do anything. I work from home, and there is no repercussions if I don't work - only no paycheck. It's just so easy to focus on the big picture, and I don't know how to motivate myself when there is so much stacked against me. Right now I have 300 messages to reply to, and it just feels impossible. 300 is a lot and I don't know how to make it less, I've tried focusing on groups of 20, 15, 10 and lately it's been groups of 5 before taking a bit of a break and then going back for another 5.
I don't know if it's just my depression rearing up again (and I hope it's that rather than me being lazy).
I suppose I would like to know how you all motivate yourself? Especially lately, because Christmas is such a big thing and it costs so much. I always feel bad asking for help and I don't feel able to lately.

well, 300 emails sounds intimidating.
Obviously you will know about prioritising them.
In your breaks, spend as much time outside as you can, would be my suggestion.
When you are on the machine, have a playlist running in another window.
On a text document, have some standard replies set up which you can cut and paste.
Some people find standing at the computer really helpful, using a raised desk.or kitchen worksurface.
any use?
Hey, I just wanted to share and also know if anyone is feeling Holiday depression? Today I woke up and I can't bring myself to do much and there is so much to do. I feel depressed and I don't know why. I want a good Christmas, but when I think about it, I feel anxious. My anxiety is raising and I feel scared I won't have a great Christmas and we won't be able to afford stuff like gifts and food. So all that just sucks, I want to just cry and stay in bed where I don't have to see my neighbour's decorations and cheery lights cause, it just makes me feel worst.
