My life is a lonely mess
This is a random post. Apologies if I ramble on.
I've been dealing with health issues for the last couple years which has dragged me into a deep depression. Other than my immediately family and 1or 2 other people, I have no one in my life. My illness means I can't work, I have no social life and I've fallen out of contact with friends I used to have. I haven't met a new person in like 5 years! Pathetic really .
With valentine's coming up, I can't help but feel super lonely. I am 29 and only ever celebrated one vday. I've isolated myself from the dating world because I just don't feel good enough for anyone. I just don't think anyone would or should put up with me. Who wants to date a chronically ill, depressed, unemployed person? I'm not exactly a catch. It's hard when everyone around me are in relationships, getting married and starting families.
I just hate how lonely I feel all the time. If it wasn't for my family I would have gone a long time ago. But unfortunately, I'm getting to that point where they're not enough. I don't know how much longer I can sit and watch other people living their lives and I'm just stuck in my room.
@Cherryma I am also in the same spot as you. Except I am much older. I know it is hard, but being 29, you still have your youth. You are still young enough to have kids and get married. I do not know your story but there are a lot of lonely people out there and some won't mind if you do not have a job, as long as you are a great person. 29 is still so young, you have your whole life ahead of you. I do not know what health challenges you are facing, but do not let it sap your hope. Even if you are not working now, take this time to read and maybe learn a new hobby if you can, because it will make you more interesting. Many people do not work, think of housewives for example, they do not work but they have families. You are so young, do not give up now.
@Cherryma
I am so sorry that you feel alone :/ I definitely have struggled with loneliness and it's quite a defeating feeling, for sure. Back during some of my loneliest days, I came across this video and it helped me a lot :) :
