Hi I’m new here.. and been living with Depression for a couple years now. I’ve been doing so well until today, where it hit out of nowhere. And I’m angry because it takes a lot out of me to open to someone and need to talk.. and no one was there for me in my family nor my S.O. .. I felt so invalidated with no safe space and lost having no real strong support system. Does anyone else feel like this? And how do you get through

It sucks to have depression and I'm sorry you don't have a proper support group. Luckily I can help. Though I would suggest getting a a counsler or talk to a listener here. And maybe work on finding coping skills that would work to help you deal with your depression. For example my skill that I use is music. Anything that expresses how I'm feeling. I usually listen to slip knot or anneisokay. Or incubus. Though not every skill works for everyone. I'll throw out some ones you could try. Like for example what I use to go to for help was writing how I felt. That made me feel worse. But thats my experience. Don't let it discourage you from trying it. Or you could draw. Let me know if that helped.

Thank you for your input! It really helps with me when someone, even a stranger, is there reassuring me that I’m not alone. I’m definitely a music person as well, so that definitely helps me calm down. Incubus is a good choice too!

I'm glad it helped you! :) ^^ just let me know if you need any other support. Yea incubus is good. I knew about one of theri songs but I learned about more of them from a trip to hospital. They had a computer there and they allowed us to take music requests.
