Out the hospital and I might as well never have been admitted.
Writing again from inside the hospital. I’m sitting in the lobby because I refused treatment. Why? Because where I live in America, the state only paid for a week of me to be in the hospital. After that, it would be out of pocket care that I couldn’t afford. My only option was to invoke my rights and say I didn’t want anymore help. Not that I was gettin. Much in the first place.
the medication cocktail was making me sick. I was getting in trouble because they thought I was doing it on purpose. I was given no therapy. Just pills. Nurses were apathetic. Psychiatrist didn’t seem to care I was even there. And with me invoking my rights I was discharged.
Now I’m still in the hospital. Still depressed. Can’t afford the medications they prescribed me. Can’t afford to stay here. Can’t afford to live, really. Don’t lknow what to do from here.
I'm really sorry your hospital experience was bad. What are you going to do now? Go home? Maybe you can get some better help outside of the hospital.
But where? I don’t know where to go. I don’t have the money for care.
I don't have money either. My insurance covers therapy for example. I'm on medical assistance through the welfare. Look into your local resources.

Hi, Get a therapist no matter what! It might take some doing but OMG it has helped me so so much!!
I was in your situation in 2019, (Broke/hospital stays/terrible anxiety) and I kept going to appointments to see what community resources might have and one day they found me a room at the veterans shelter, and there I met a guy that was dating a therapist - Well she has turned my life around 180 degrees. Never give up hope because when you find the right people you will be so glad you did!
Blessings, Day
I am so sorry that the visit was rough. You mentioned in the middle feeling a little hope for a day or two. That means something.
Think small rather than large. It sounds like some rest at home would be a good start. @Server8462
I spent most of my time on the psych ward sleeping. Don’t see how rest would assist me.
I would think that just getting back in your own space would be a bit of a relief. Hospitals are never really restful. @Server8462
It is nice to be back in my environment. But how much longer before I have another episode? I already can’t afford a therapist and there aren’t any free ones near me.
Worry about a day at a time and enjoy any mini minutes of breathing that you get. I know that they don't seem like much, but as soon as you start focusing on the next episode coming it does.
