For those who have depression that are in a relationship or those dating someone with depression, how does it affect your relationship?

I have depression and am scared it will affect my relationship. Up until now he has dealt with it greatly, always listening, offering helpful advice, distracting me or making me laugh. He s very caring at the moment and gets worried when I tell him I m thinking about stuff. But I m scared that it ll start to annoy him with me talking all my stupid insecurities and problems and that he always has to "put me back together" after a breakdown.

We both have major depression and immense gratitude for each other. We try to support each other. We trade coping mechanisms. We really try. It's only tough if one of us is away, or if we are both going through depressive episodes at the same time.

Each relationship is going to be different, though, because humans are so individualistic and that is okay. Everyone deserves to be with someone who loves them even when they're sad. <3
