Hey there @courageousDog1159

The reddit information appears to have been deleted. However, if you're struggling with dissociation, I might have a few tips. Obviously, these won't cure you and if this is really affecting you, I urge you to see a medical professional.

Tip 1: Create affirmations for yourself and repeat them. This might not work for you but give it a try. Choose a phrase and use it like a mantra to keep yourself grounded when you need to.

Tip 2: Mindfullness and focusing. Again, this isn't for everyone but it might work for you. Let's say you go for a run. Focus on your surroundings, the colours, the way things move. Forcus on your breathing, the noise of your steps. Exercise can actually improve your mood as well as is used to treat mild depression so do this as often as possible.

Tip 3: Practice acceptance. Allow yourslef to feel how you do and don't fight it. Treat yourself with compassion. Remind yourself that it's okay and that you can survive. Forgive yourself.

Tip 4: Ground yourself. Count the number of red things in the room. Find three things you can hear. Chew some gum and focus on the flavour. Touch a rough rock. Count how many shiny things you can see. Work out everything you're currently touching. Stimulate your senses and focus on your surroundings.

Tip 5: Choose an object to keep you in the present, like a small stone, a photo, or a keepsake. Some people find it helpful to use something wearable, like a ring or a charm on a necklace, so you always have it with you. Build an association between it and the present—every time you see it or touch it, remind yourself that you are here and now. Then, when you need it, you can reach for it. Please see a medical professional if you need to. Don't let it hurt you.
