Seeking help
I feel like Im doing everything wrong and I dont know how to go about seeking help. I told my friend, spilled everything to her about my depression and I didnt get the response I think I wanted.. she said Oh Alexia, I completely understand. ❤❤❤ You can tell me anything, anything at all. I dont know anymore, she was clearly being nice but I feel like all these years of depression, anxiety, and isolation has made me less of a human being. I dont know right from wrong sometimes, I loss my humor, being kind, and just doing regular things like hanging out with people. All I have been doing is sitting at home, being lazy, watching tv or on my phone. I get major headaches sometimes. Overall Im just tired of it, im ready for my depression to go away and I know its not thats easy, I have to stop hoping that things will get better and instead do something about it. I want to tell my parents now and Im nervous help. Or am I doing this all wrong? I know my mom will start talking about doctors but Im scared if I will have to see a therapist. Im a girl going into eleventh grade, Im supposed to have a job like most people my age, I just turned 16.

Hey there. I understand you're nervous but you don't need to be. There's nothing wrong with talking to a doctor. Don't be afraid to reach out for help. I get that you don't want to be therapy. Maybe it makes you feel weird? Well, there's no guarantee a doctor will suggest therapy but if they do, that's okay. It could seriously help you. I know you want to be a normal 16 year old. You want to get a job, go out with friends, have fun, not go to therapy. However, getting help and treatment means you can go back to being a normal teenager again.
My only advice is don't let fear stop you from getting what you need.
Stay strong
