Seeking options
So, After about 2 semesters of counseling, I've realized I should probably seek out more options. While counseling and 7cups are good, it seems like they aren't enough. I'm typing this with no sleep and have a class in ten minutes.
I've decided to explore the possibility of medication, even though it scares me. I admit, I'm afraid of possible affects it might have upon me, but my biggest fear is cost. I don't have health insurance at the moment and seeking it is stressful. I'm seeing my campus physicians to see what they have to offer, they said they can help, so I hope so, and fast.
It scares me, but the things I have been doing just aren't enough. The pain is too much.
Well, off I go, wish me luck
@AutumnEagle
I'm proud of you for recognizing what is and is not working in your treatment and taking the next step to get further professional help. I know it's scary but you are a strong and brave person to take this step for you well-being. Good luck today--I'll be sending positive and calming vibes your way!! *hugs*
@RocketsMom thank you. I still have yet to see a doctor on campus about it, as I haven't had the time, but will asap. I'm just scared about the meds, money, but also what if people that I do not wish to know see them? Like my roommate for instance? It's a scary idea, as I don't want certain people to know due to various reasons. I just hope that things with meds go better than I imagine. I also get the feeling I've seen you in the depression group chat before, I recognize your name for some reason.
