Should get this vented out
Hey all, im juzzy, in the past i would of said im Juzzy, C.E.O of GFD, an organization dedicated to supporting and changing the stigma around gamers and mental illness, but recently i was forced out of my position and place within the organization, as most gamers know the general gaming scene is very toxic, and i guess after 3yrs of creating and running that place and trying to keep the toxic out it got in, long story short, a selection of people i called friends and mods ended up turning the team against myself and after months of trying to defuse the situation resulted in either me stepping down or 90% of the team leaving which would result in those seeking shelter there losing their home... so i stepped down so they could have their home still safe, here i am, i find myself lost, the place i poured my heart and soul into now forced out of, but gotta keep my chin up right? Been volunteering here for the last 3yrs on and off and still am cause im so passionate about helping those who cannot seek help, gamers especially, no one should walk the dark alone, in a way im relieved that i dont have the pressure of that place anymore but also very much in pain and upset without it, i suffer depression and anxiety and i use my life experiences to help everyone i can, ive done it so long that my only way to cope is block it out, but its hard when every hour i get a message off someone regarding gfd :/ it hurts and its really getting to me..
@Juzzy
I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I hope that venting this out to everyone has helped you feel a little better today. It's sometimes nice to get everything out in the open. I can imagine what has happened to you must really hurt, It's clear that you have a massive passion for this and not it's been taken away from you. 7 cups is an amazing place to be and in a way it can help block out the real word, but it's never good. Although it seems like being here helping others is helping you in a way, it's going to make it worse. When we avoid our issues they can become worse, when we don't fix our problems they are not going to get better. It's a little like a phone, if you drop it, it might get damaged and if you don't fix that damage it's going to get worse and worse until it completely breaks down.
If things get worse for, don't be afraid to ask for help. There are specialists out their that can help you :)
