The sinkhole is back

Lately I've been feeling really down and blue for pretty much no reason. There's not a lot of bad things happening in my life. I have a new job coming up, I'm healthy, and I have a new boyfriend. All good things. Stress is there but not as much as usual.

Even still, a black, sinking feeling has been filling me more than usual lately. Comes out of nowhere and is with me for a while. I don't know how to shake it off. I had been dealing with anxiety and depression on and off for years, but usually the depression had a reason or a situation attached. This time it feels different. Like there's no reason for being depressed and down.

Anyway, just wanted to talk about it.

@mimameid . Depression acts like that sometimes and it doesn't care if things are going well or not. Are you getting treatment? If not you might want to consider that. And we are always here if you need to talk.

Well, I am currently taking an antidepressant, but it's at the lowest dosage at the moment since I just started it the beginning of the year. Perhaps I need to let my physician know it needs to be increased.

Thanks for responding :)

@mimameid

It is what makes me sad, that depression is never studdied propperly...it accepted as a grey social mood...being depressed or lazy...

The health scientific comunity has letus down in finding out about depression...just give us exciting drugs and we shall be happy-happy...

Well, I have a weird body chemistry and immune system that reject medication andthey never worked forme...

It is not about treating it but find out why it doesoccjr out of the blue like for you and me...
