Time for change
Today's depression revolves around my relationship with my significant other. I suppose I am feeling hopeless for change. I'm going to counseling bc I need help and I need help figuring out the future of this relationship. So I suppose maybe I'm more sad than depressed, sad bc we may have to go our separate ways in order to take the best care of ourselves. I believe it's going to be ok.
@tealOrange1014 heey, first you gotta believe that you have the power to change, you have the power to overcome depression, depression is just a phase of low state of mind, so I prefer that if you are depressed try as much as possible to interact with ppl, and to to a friend or a member of a family.
Hello tealorange1014, I am glad you shared here on this forum. I am sorry to hear that you are feeling sad about your relationship with your significant other. Change is very hard to go through and achieve especially when it is out of your comfort zone. But, I am glad you are going to counseling and getting the help you need. That is the first step. It will be hard to accept that you will be going your separate way, but only you know what is best for you. And if you believe it is going to be okay, that is more than enough and it is important to never lose that hope.
@tealOrange1014 hi teal, i hope that things went well with your counseling session and that you are able to work things out with the direction you want to take with your significant other. It sounds a tough place to be in when it might mean separating to take the best care of yourselves; but it sounds like you are positive that somehow things are going to be ok even though you are feeling sad about what is happening. How are things going now?

Hi !
I am glad that you think "it's being to be OK".
That is a wonderful and helpful attitude to have.
You say you think you are hopeless, but this shows that maybe you do have Hope in your heart.
I imagine it must be very distressing to consider the possibility of breaking your current relationship. You are right to feel sad about it.
You took a wise decision to go to an emotional support professional to analyze in-depth that possibility.
You are right that sometimes, we need to take separate ways from our relationships, in order to heal.
You are very courageous to consider this significant decision.
Your wisdom and courage are two great virtues you have, that will help you a lot in your life.
So, I am sure you will get better with time.
I wish you all the best !
