In the Japenese art of "Kintsugi" broken pottery pieces are repaired with gold, this unique and beautiful art highlights the cracks and broken pieces rather than trying to hide them.
This is to represent that we are beautiful *because* we are broken. And I think thats such an awesome perspective! 😁
Bad days make the good days sweeter, and our failures are opportunites to learn and grow (:

gosh molly, this post is almost as beautiful as you. you wrote and explained this so wonderfully, and you continue to amaze me with your constant kind, uplifting, and thoughtful attitude!
the idea of being broken, but unique, is so sweet, and i think that the way you used the art of kintsugi to show this was really helpful. the fact that the cracks within the pottery - that can also be seen as the imperfections within us - are golden and highlighted just shows that these are what builds us up in the future and what makes us who we are. accepting this can be incredibly difficult, but i think that once we do that it makes us feel less ashamed of any cracks we try to hide or shy away from, and easier to reflect and gain closure from things we feel broken from.
