Was fired don’t know what to do
Yesterday I was fired from my job of 1.5 years. No reason was given by I’m guessing it’s to do with my lowering mood. I have been experiencing another bout of depression since fall. During that time I experienced a breakup, a death in the family, my father landed in a hospital. All of this took toll on my mood. Early this year two colleagues I worked closely with have left the company and someone else has come to replace them. I could tell from the beginning he did not like me but nothing was openly said. I have been a ball of nerves since January. To distract myself from the stress at work I looked for a project I could focus on. After my family’s encouragement I decided to buy an apartment (bad idea in hindsight). So after putting down the deposit (10% of the value) I learned that I no longer have a job I can depend on. I know I have to find a new job ASAP but I just can’t force myself to do it.

I'm sorry to read of this. All of the losses and changes you describe are, I'm guessing, made harder and more complicated by the pandemic. And being in a hostile work environment, even when nothing is overt or obvious, takes an enormous toll. We are not designed to take hit after hit the way you describe.
As far as the apartment goes, I would approach the owner/seller/landlord and explain the situation and that you would like to resolve it in a responsible manner that works for all concerned. Right now you're overextended. Say something like, "I just learned this news. However I want to do right by the situation. How can we work this out?" The person might be understanding. Maybe they went through something in their lifetime. They don't want to be left hanging, any more than you do! In this case, being upfront about the matter is best.
Wishing you success in this situation.
