What's the point?

I'm 14, and I've been thinking about something a lot. What is the point of life? Like, what's the point of living and going through so much hurt and loss, just to die in the end?

I don't know how longer I can keep myself from doing something bad to myself.

It is easy to fall into this way of thinking, especially at your age. It's really hard as a teenage to know who you are, and you don't get a lot of freedom to find out. The purpose of life is different for everyone, but there are some common ideas. Love is the most important one. Love comes in many forms. I often felt this way as well, but when I put time and energy into helping others, I feel worthy. When I was a teenager, I often struggled with figuring out my purpose or the point of life. I'm glad I perserved, because a lot of beautiful things have happened since then.

I know it seems pointless right now, but I promise that there are many wonderful things in your future, coming around as soon as tommorrow.

You're only 14, you haven't lived enough yet.

That reminds me of myself when I was at that age. Now I'm four years older. I'm still struggling with myself and the thoughts I have but I learnt that there are important things to live for and if it's just because you are afraid of disappointing your family. I never thought much about what would happen to those who love me if I decided to end my life. I am sure no one could bare this feeling knowing how much you hurt someone you love. Many people care for you! You just need to let them help you!

You are much stronger than you think and life is so much worth living!

I know it feels weird seeing that the earth exists for over million and million of years and then there's you who gets only about one hundred years of that time and you wonder where is the sense to it. Believe me, you will find your way and you have a great advantage in understanding people who struggle with the same thoughts.

What's the point in loving, when you will only experience heart break at the end of it? There is no point in life, because in the end you will die anyways, and every thing you've done in that life will be forgotten and will not matter.

@NoNameUser Everything we do matters. Every action of yours, can touch another person's life. Think about it, if you show kindness to one person, that might inspire them to be kind too. It's an endless chain.

Love is not always romantic. Love can be love for family, friends, a certain food, a tv show, anything.
