When is depression health rather than social issues?

I was wondering if my depression could be the social situation or an unaware health issue that i don't know about. Maybe being alone has giving me a health issue and developed into a health issue.

How does one know when it is health or social situation?

@SympatheticSpring703 - There is a simple blood test they can do if you go to your doctor. It tests your thyroid. But if you have been under stress for a long time then your body's natural neurotransmitters get depleted and then you need medication too.

Sometimes it can be both. My depression gets more agitated under stress of everyday life, but a lot of the time, it manifests itself with physical symptoms, i.e exhaustion, aches and pains, inability to get out of bed, weight loss and lack of apatite. So it can feel like you have developed some sort of flu-like illness.

You could try seeing if therapy alone makes you feel better. Having a professional listen to you can work wonders if you feel it is more of social issue. And if that doesn't give you relief, you can start to seek out medication that might be able to supplement the therapy.
