closed door waiting for window to open

Two weeks ago I resigned my teaching position due to concerns I would not be safe returning to my classroom. People in my community are not taking the virus seriously at all. So I have been very much adrift so to speak. I love teaching and this was the last thing I wanted to do. Anyway - I've been applying for online teaching opportunities but no luck yet. Half concerned I'll get into one I'll hate or not legit. Today my former team of teachers met for planning this first six weeks material and I was obviously not there. Kind of sad. Honestly I'm a bit pissed too because I resigned and NO ONE gave me a going away zoom or drive by party. It makes me feel worthless but I know I'm not. I don't care if it's pandemic time. Something could have been done. Even if I am not a party person. Anyway. That's my struggle today.
