About to officially fail out of college bc of unmanaged adhd and depression and Idek how to appeal to professors or financial office or if I did it would even help my situation. Honestly I don’t even know where to start even if there is a way to turn things around. No one in my life knows what’s going on. I’m an online student but go thru my reg work day happy and encouraging others and then get home completely exhausted. And on weekends it’s all I can do to shower and text a couple friends or family members back. I don’t know if anyone will be understanding at this point bc this is the 3rd time something like this has happened to me, tho it’s been a few years, and I’m 26 years old now and this shouldn’t keep happening. I’m at my wits end.

Hello, @Und3f3at3d I am so sorry that this has happened to you :(

It’s nice to know though, that at least, you have a job that makes you feel happy and somewhat fulfilled. Is it an option to focus on that for the time being while you process your thoughts and feelings about school? I’m sorry that this is the 3rd time that it has happened. I wish you can find help here in 7Cups and in your immediate circle or family. You can send me a message if you want to talk, too.

When I was going through that experience, what helped get me moving was to take it one day at a time. Cliche, I know, but it helps to battle on a daily basis. I feel there was some kind of achievement at the end of the day no matter how small and that fuels me to start the next day.

Please don’t forget that there is always help available. Maybe not from places and people we expect and hope to, but it’s available. Just reach out :)

Do you have an office at your school for accessibility? We do where I teach and they have resources where you can be tested. We also have a "student success center" where students can go for help in organizing their schedules and planning ways around the ADHD until a full diagnosis comes.

I can tell you as a professor that I see things like this ALL the time (like 3-4 times a semester at my small school). Talking to the professors help because they will know your school specific resources.

You can do this and find a way through. Sometimes it is a matter of a smaller schedule for a bit. @Und3f3at3d
