feeling like I said shut up
I don't know, talking about how I feel has really been making me feel like I'm just asking for attention which is making me feel bad ,like all my emotions are fake and I'm just over reacting. I bought a notebook to write all my emotions down so I don't have to talk to anyone about them but that only put me in a position where I question myself more . Can anyone relate to this and if you can how do you deal with it
I feel like that often. But your feelings are always valid. That's a hard thing to learn to believe (I know, I'm working on it myself) but it's true. Your feelings matter just because you feel them, and you're not exaggerating. It's okay to want to get them out too.
I sometimes feel the same, and what I do is make sure I don't impose it on a chat about something else, but that it is the topic of the conversation, and then being honest. And maybe the most important thing I find is who you are talking to. I try to be as sure as possible they care about me and respect me, so they know I'm being honest and feel a real need to express my feelings, rather than just whining/looking for attention.
