Hello Kenzie! Thank you for sharing your troubles with us. That is very commendable that you want to let your parents know and get help! It is very tough to get better on your own, even if you try really hard. Sometimes, outside help is needed, and it is nothing to be ashamed about. Telling your parents would be the first step to doing just that :) I don't know what your parents are like, but do you think you could just sit them down and tell them you need to talk to them? It's possible they'll take the lead of the conversation from there. If you wanted more help with how to tell your parents, don't hesitate to connect to one of the listeners herehttps://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/. Good luck!

I had the same problem with getting help and going to my family. It took months of working up courage but i just asked my family if i could see a therapist for some issues i was dealing with, they didn't pry into those issues and ive been getting help since

It is great to share it with someone even if it's not your parents maybe a bestfriend or someone you feel close too, they will be able to support you and help you and maybe help you draw up the courage to talk to your parents.
