my elegy
i could jump off a bridge in the darkest dead of the night and disappear from the world
where I dont belong through the exit of eternity and no part of the heavens would shudder,
I evaporate without leaving a hole, without any trace of shadow behind,
the world without a loss of color no colder nor any less full,
the clock keeps ticking clinically, the hours striking monotonously,
though the bell should not toll to memorialize me,
i am forgotten and immaterial,
blotted out from the faceless throng of humanity,
erased from the blank pages in the tome of mortality,
all is silent, silent in the dead of night
Out out brief candle
Dying into the light
Extinguished in the black of night
All is silent, save the wind which whistles on all the while as it would not cease for a moment of silence,
no bird-song to weep my demise in whispered mourning,
no elegy should quiver from the worlds smallest violin,
no tears shed from a sprinkle of rain, no human heart would be broken,
no fair lady to awake the next morn left worried wondering and forlorn
where should her special Danny Joe be,
o danny boy the sheep are in the meadow,
but i am nobody, something to nobody,
nothing that matters to anyone anywhere it matters not at all where or how or if I am,
I am crying and nobody listens, I am dying and nobody is crying, soon I shall be dead and nobody will care.
