student life and depression

hi, i am currently in my last year before i graduate. my biggest dream at the moment is to make it to my graduation, and regardless of how well i do in the exams, i just want to be able to say that I've made it. however, it takes so much effort to wake up every morning monday-friday and go to school. especially since, when i arrive, i have no one to talk to and i stick to myself (which i don't really mind, but it would be nice to have someone understanding to talk to). the effort i put into socializing is so minimal, that i fear I'm coming off rude. i really can't be bothered to do my assignments and essays, but i feel i can't relax if i don't to it to perfection (which is hard to achieve when I'm depressed.) i just feel so hopeless. because i then catch myself thinking, whether or not I'll even be here for graduation day. every day I'm getting weaker and weaker.

I am a student once again and hoping with my skills and upgraded education I can find right niche for me in the new work of work. I am almost ready to complete two new areas of study. Nervous outcome what the future hold after I graduate this time.

@nippa1

This is understandable. Depression makes it hard to even be motivated enough to get up and be prepared for school and classes.

You can also browse listeners and talk to anyone whenever you feel like it! There are also group chat discussions here which could make you feel better.

Wishing you all the best 😊

Hello nippa1, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling this way. I can totally relate to what you are feeling. Sometimes, it is hard to look at the finish line especially when you put in so much hard work and effort that it is hard to see the goal. I also understand how it would have been nice to have someone to be there for you so you can share your opinions with. Being a perfectionist can be hard too because you just want to have control of everything. Do not give up and feel hopeless because once you get to the finish line, you will feel really accomplished. It is okay to feel weak but always remember to get back up and finish what you have started.
