Feel like a failure
I’m 35 jobless and still live in my parents home. I feel like a failure and can’t help but feel depressed and hopeless. I feel like I’m not good enough and won’t ever be able to find a job and buy a home
Trust me when I say that I regret buying my home everyday. I am seriously considering selling it as soon as possible as it is having serious consequences on my mental health. You see I am a single male with no children, friends, no one. I thought if I bought a house I might be able to fill it up but that has not happened. For the longest time I have lived here by myself in complete isolation especially during Covid. No one to talk to, share with, no phone calls, nothing. It is almost like I volunteered to put my self in solitary confinement by getting this house. I am going crazy it is the worst possible thing I could have imagined. A house is not worth getting unless you turn it into a home meaning there is more than one persons living in it. Trust me when I say you have it ok. You have people around you like your parents who you can talk to and interact with so your mental health will be fine. Please enjoy it I wish my parents were here to keep me company. Take my advice and get a dog then start going on dating apps. You are still 35 focus on getting a partner along with a job. Then get the house. Even I (ugly me) have met a few girls from dating apps and although no long lasting relationships formed yet it still gives me enough motivation to keep trying. Trust me you should focus on getting a partner first that should be top priority everything else will fall into place.
I hope things can begin to look up for you soon. I don’t know if you’re in the US or if you’ve tried indeed or state jobs yet. But most times indeed.com and your state (if you’re in the US has a job listing section of their website) I hope this helps a bit. 💞
And look into that tax credit thing. If you live in US for home buying. I think 15K for first time home owner and 25K for first generation
I am sure that you are in a very good age to build a happy life. It is not easy, but understanding that we are, in some way, by nature, depressive then connect with groups of people than could encourage and support you. Build relationships and friendships with such people. All the best to you!
