How do you cope with it?

I’m currently living away from family but I do live with my roommates. I work as a health care professional and have to be constantly in a happy-funny mood and at the end of the day I find it quite draining.

I’m not clinically diagnosed with depression but I’ve lost interest in the things I used to enjoy. I always feel empty and lonely. My head keeps saying I just want to unalive myself. I feel like I’m on autopilot most of the time and I hate it.

Is it supposed to be like this when your 25? Are you supposed to feel lonely when you are living by yourself? Are you supposed to feel undesirable and unlovable?

Please let me know how to deal with these emotions because I can’t

Hey Bacanxiety,

I understand living with roomates. Being a health care work professional can be a hard job and can be very draining. I understand having to mask/hide your true feelings when you wish you didn't have to. I would understand why you're feeling drained everyday. I understand losing interest in things you used to enjoy. It sounds like you might be struggling with depression. I understand that you're feeling lonely and empty. I know it's hard to feel that way. I understand having those thoughts. Those thoughts can be very hard to deal with at times. I understand feeling like you're on autopilot I know it's hard for you right now. I can see you're struggling to find that things that are making you happy. It's okay not to be okay. If you feel like you need help I would suggest asking for some. It's okay to ask for help and to admit you're not okay. I know it's not an easy step to take, But that's the first step to recovery. I'm glad you came to 7 cups and shared how you felt. We're here to support you and listen to you. You may start feeling lonely if you're living by yourself. You may need more social communication. You're not supposd to feel this way. I know it's hard to love yourself. If this proceeds I would suggest reaching out to professional help. I would suggest to also try to find some coping skills that will distract you from how you feel. I wish the best for you and that you feel better. IF you ever need to talk listeners are here for that. Please take care of yourself and mental health. Hopefully this message finds you in a better place. ❤️
