I'll be alone forever... Any suggestions of how to accept that?

The main question is the title.. .the rest is just a vent I'm just feeling as if I should give up even the idea of ever having a relationship. I'm a collection of all possible undesirable qualities. I'm very boring with no personality and very little interests. I'm awkward, can't socialize properly. On top of that I'm ugly, not cis and have a lot of mental issues. "Someone will love you for you!" "You will find someone" Everyone says that. But even if this is true then how do I find them? Also this pretty much means that my choice is very limited as I have to wait for someone to like my stupid boring and messed up a$$. And then what if I don't like them back? What do I do then or does this mean I'm just forced to get with anyone who likes me regardless if they fit my liking... cause this definitely seems *fair* to me...

Hey...you never know how pretty you are to a certain person.... everyone has their own reasons for everything..... perhapsyou're kinda an introvert and have a lot of mental issues but someone who's right for you will never get bothered by any of this....cause they will love you not the qualities you're holding up to.....you can't find them you'll just have to wait for them to come for you.... you'll have to wait for the right time ... that's all....

Pretty sure that if I just sit and wait they won't just walk into my room...

@Djeidi--I don't why I "posted" 4 blank replies (also don't know how to delete them as I'm a noob) but I hope you see this one.

Being different, REALLY different acts as an excellent filter: it keeps away people who can't appreciate what you bring to a relationship. Yes, the wait for the right person/people can get lonely. Most of us would love to have a loving partner in our lives. But in my experience, being single/alone is FAR preferable to wasting time, effort, and emotional energy on a relationship that is doomed because you (or maybe the other person) isn't being their authentiic self.

Maybe there IS someone for everyone. Maybe not. Either way, we have to live the lives we have now, find enjoyment and companionship with friends, and continue our journey to find meaning for ourself, meanwhile keeping our eyes open to possibilities.

Finding a group of like-minded people is a good start. 7 Cups, Meet-up, or whatever site caters to your interests might be a good place to connect with new friends. Be open and friendly and honest with people, even though it's scary af. Rejection can hurt but if you can view it as simply freeing you to pursue better options, it won't seem quite so devastating.

Spend some time thinking about what you'd like your life to look like in your ideal world, what you really want in a relationship and what your deal-breakers would be. You're not alone and it might take some time to find your people but I am confident you will.

BTW, only admins and listeners can edit or delete their posts, but members like us can't.

Thank you for letting me know. :) It was a little embarrassing to see what I'd done and not be able to fix it properly.

@Djeidi

Hi! I'm sorry you feel this way. It really isn't easy, I understand this very well.

I won't promise that you'll find "the one" or "the perfect partner" as myths often say, because I can't send anyone to you. I just want to say that some people are happier being single, this is not a defect or a sin or a curse. Both being in a relationship (I would say, specifically, married) and staying single are gifts just like someone is talented in maths and another is amazing at sports; and none of this can be forced.

While trying to figure out which one is your gift, may I suggest you to accept and love yourself first? Focus on your talents and interests, spoil yourself once in a while, have a chat with your family or maybe best friend...

Because at the end, only you and your mindset can make you happy - not a romantic partner, a spouse, or a friend; but only you. It really is not an exaggeration that some people are rich, attractive, smart, and in a relationship but terribly unhappy - because they can't be grateful for what they have - they always want more and focus on what they don't have instead.

Like a song says: "Step into your power, grow yourself into something new. You are the one you've been waiting for all of your life."

Hope you feel better about yourself now. :-)

@Djeidi

thank you for sharing your story. i don't know how old you are but believe me we are on the same page. while most of the peole my age are getting married, having children, and are successful, i'm just here working my ass off for the whole familysince i'm a breadwinner. the pandemic is also not helping. it made me think more and more about the future. i haven't tried this myself but maybe joining groups or apps will help you meet people like you. i believe that you don't have to try so hard for people to love you. may it be in terms of friends or relationships, you just have to be you and gradually the right people will come along, someone who will accept and won't judge you for being you

Try not to give up on yourself. If you stop trying and give up, you can rest assured that you'll never get to the place you want to be in your life. But if you get up keep trying, even if you don't know where it will lead you, there is always a chance that you will find what you're looking for.

I don't think there is a chance anymore... It's nearly imposible anyway so what's the point of wasting my energy? Also I don't really deserve it anyway
