Is it me or them?
I am new here 26 and incredibly isolated. In July I separated from my ex of 6 years, which for my wellbeing was the best thing I could have done. However, I am now completely alone.
I have tried to reconnect with my family and friends however the reason I didn't have enough much to do with them prior to my break up remained. My family ostracise me, I am different to them and they simply do not care. My friends are from you school days (2 of them) and constantly make me feel horrible about myself or try to sleep with me (they are male) and makes me feel worthless. Therefore, I have lost contact again.
I never been good at making friends, being introverted and in all honesty intolerant of people. The people I do make friends with always end up using me to make them feel good, ignore me when I need them and fall out with over things I don't understand. Most recently being i left early on a night out as I was tired and apparently this is grounds for the person to cut me off.
I know I am strange in many ways, I can fake confidence when need to which is possibly why I attract the wrong friends for me and I can and do enjoy alone time. Social interaction physically drains me. However I am now alone constantly, except work, and can not connect with anyone or new or have the confidence to meet someone.
@tallMango8949 I'm socially akward to! I'm a born friggin rebel so wtf ever! Just get weird and embrace your individuality... Maybe you align with more than the status quo has to offer intellectually? ;)
