Loneliness and depression

Hi I'm completely new here but im just wondering if anyone else is struggling with having absolutely no friends. I graduated high school a few months ago and since then it's become increasingly obvious that no one really cares about me anymore now that we aren't in school. I've talked to no one besides my boyfriend in months and while I love him, I still feel extremely alone. He has friends to hang out with and people that really care about him and I feel very left out. I'm not a super social person but I love having people to talk to and I've been missing that for awhile now which is causing me really heavy depressive episodes and I'm not sure what to do which is why I'm here. I'm open to talking to anyone.

I can relate to you on this- I’m fortunate that I have some people in my life, I’m really close with my family and have 5 siblings and we all get along well, but outside of my family and my boyfriend I have basically no one 😐 I have 2 friends I’m kinda close with, one is my best friend of 10 years who lives in another state but we’ve kinda grown distant, and the other lives close by but is kinda flaky sometimes soooo that’s a bummer. If I didn’t have my family I’d feel completely alone and it sucks 😕 I’m also unemployed right now so I’m literally just by myself all day and it’s so draining.

I understand how lonely it can feel sometimes. If you can, try to do things that interest you, maybe take up a hobby and you can meet people that way. High school is so weird, you learn that sometimes people are only friends with you because you’re just in close proximity all day, but once that’s taken away you realize you may not even have common interests. Take time to find things you like and you’ll find people with common interests. Also, make sure to tell your boyfriend how you’re feeling, he may not even know how much you’re struggling. Hopefully he can offer you that support and encouragement as you try to work through this difficult time.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this difficult time. Remember you are loved and supported and you can get through this! Sending you hugs and positive vibes!!!

I think that we all go through really lonely periods where we feel very friendless. They are really tough. Are you trying to do anything to start working on some new friendships?@summer6122

@summer6122 i can understand that as well, looks like you are an introvert person though because of this trait still you wanna have friends around yourself but unfortunately you find it difficult even your boyfriend is with you, so the only thing I can say is that try to be social able and meet new people and make new friends, it would be so helpful for you.
