Modern Dating Makes Me Want to Quit
I used to be good with asking out girls and stuff, had a few nice (1 very not so nice lol) girlfriends, but, ever since college and starting to struggle pretty bad mentally it's just been awful. I get very little replies from anybody I meet in person or online, often just targeted by bots trying to sell fake stuff at me, or I just get constantly turned down like they can just FEEL I'm not a happy person and it just never works and that's that's years now it's awful, I'm horribly touch starved and the pandemic was almost my limit I'm honestly surprised I made it thru that at all. I'm vaccinated now, hoping there will be a change here but.. so far, not so good.. idk how long I can keep this up anymore.
Welp what good will a 14 year old do but I’m going to try and tell you so advise i have heard other people say. First of all just get off of online dating apps it’s only gonna make you more upset and they are pretty stupid too. Second of all you are very handsome I’m sure and you WILL find someone as one famous band said “Hold the line! Love isn’t always on time!” Lastly God made you beautifully and you will find someone don’t worry!

@toughComputer4374 Hi, I hope ur doing fine now. Be with someone because you love them, not because you just feel alone and lonely. Try to help yourself first. Know your worth, love yourself and then one day the right woman will walk into your life regardless of your flaws or imperfections that woman will stay and love you for no matter what reason. You are a great and an amazing person, do not let others define who and what you are.
Thank you, I hope so, I really am trying to just better myself for me, just isn't always easy to ignore the vacancy along side me yk? But I'm definetly trying, been tryna work out, stay improving with my work/talent and keep going when I can. Thank you though again, very kind
@toughComputer4374 it takes time. You may never know how long will it takes you to build up yourself again but definitely one day you'll be better than what you are today. And yeah, I know sometimes it feel so awe to be alone but hey you have your family and friends. Spend more time with them, or focus on your studies. also try to to explore new things such as do sports you havent tried yet, music or arts. :)

I can understand how frustrating this is. It seems like you are not alone in feeling the struggles of online dating/dating in general in recent months/years. If we focus on online dating for a moment, would it be worth considering trying out different sites (if you haven’t already) Or researching recent tips/new strategies? It seems things have/are changing rapidly, possibly due to how popular online dating has gotten, just in general but also with the pandemic, changing the overall dynamic, possibly?
If a person is still feeling discouraged after trying some of these things or having already tried some of these things, and still are unsure if they should go keep trying online dating, I wonder if it would be worth considering stepping away for a little break/pause to sort of recharge/revamp at that point?
Spring is almost in full bloom and a new summer is just around the corner, with it comes all kinds of new possibilities. Sending you good vibes!
