After quitting antidepressants

I was in anxiety and depression back in 2018, my doctor prescribed antidepressants for me due to some self harm evidence.

i had many psychologists visits plus the antidepressants I felt much better after a year or two. I was then trying to quit antidepressants but found really hard. On and off trying to quit but got knocked back with increase dosage. Until this year I cut my daily intake gradually for 3 months long. I am now out of antidepressants.

this is the 3rd without antidepressants but I think the withdrawal symptoms just arrived. I got headaches, I am very low, moody, anxiety is at all time high again. Constantly triggered by tiny things with thoughts of shouting, screaming, crying, hurting myself…

does anyone have any experience what do I need to now? This so tough. And I don’t want to be back to the pill ever again!

I was tapering SNRI very slowly and it was awful nevertheless. It's been almost a year without any drugs for me. From what I have read, the recovery may last up to 3 years, depending on the dose, the time you have been on them, and type of drugs. But I have heard stories that after some time, the withdrawal symptoms disappear completely. You just have to endure and remember that it is not you, it is drugs that are the problem. Take care of yourself.

Are you doing this on your own or after discussing this with your doctor?
