Any advice on making it through the day?

Hi, I'm still new to 7cups (even though my account was made awhile ago), so I apologize if anything I write seems silly :P

I've been having trouble getting through the day, getting chores done, taking care of animals at home, I'm just so tired anymore, all i want to do is go back to bed. If anyone has any advice that could help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you :)

@lamecat Hey cat, not silly at all! Happy to have you here with us, and I hope you are enjoying the community so far.

Yes, depression really does make it a struggle to get through the day. For me personally, it can definitely make it more tempting to stay in bed all day. How have you been coping so far? Finding motivation is crucial, but it can take time and effort. It also varies by person to person.

I wish you all the best, and if you have any concerns or questions, let us know. We are here for you! Have a lovely week. :)

@lovelyWhisper66 Thanks for replying! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Sometimes I try playing videogames throughout the day, but it's not helping as much as I would like. :P Some days I don't have trouble doing things, but most days are a drag. Here's to hoping things go better.

@lamecat sometimes the best thing we can do is being compassionate ourselves in these hard times and believing that we will help ourselves get better over time ( 1 day at a time).

I personally have been feeling stuck and unmotivated these days. Its been hard to get out of bed but I found when I break down the steps the night before and making things easier to do it has helped me. So here are some suggestions friend:

1) Be compassionate to yourself like a good friend

2) Just Do versus OverThinking..Motivation will come eventually (Believe it)

3) Appreciate and thank yourself for trying. It's not easy

Over time momentum will come :)
