Can a doctor write a papper about depression so I can deliver it at university?
is there any sort of papper a doctor can write a papper about depression? For example, I struggle ALOT going to university because of my depression(and really bad anxiety too), so I thought if it was possible for a doctor to write that on papper so I could deliver it. I have medication prescribed and therapy, so is not something out of the blue.
If not how do you guys deal with it?
@Booklover95 I think it would totally be possible to ask your doctor to write a note explaining your situation and any troubles you have with uni that relate to it. I guess it depends on your school's policy about these kinds of things, but it couldn't hurt to try. I know at my university, they had special accommodations for people who were struggling in school due to mental illness, such as being able to get lecture notes from the prof, or longer time for exams/writing exams in a different room or at a different time.
I guess if worst case, the school/profs aren't willing to work with you...I think second best option would be maybe finding someone in your classes who would be willing to fill you in on stuff you missed, like sharing their notes and things like that. I know it's hard if you don't know many people/have trouble asking but..I think people can be pretty understanding, I know I've made copies of my notes for people before, and others have done the same for me
