Depression can get physical?

I notice with my depression I lose mobility and even at times collapse on the floor... at times pain on parts of my body. The pain feels more nerve pain. Sometimes i feel like I'm slowly turning into a vegetable.. depression makes me so still and have pain physically and I just dont understand why... just why more pain when im already going through emotional pain...
