Downward Spiral

I recently got diagnosed with major depressive disorder and social anxiety. I tend to have anxiety attacks twice a week now and I tend to beat myself up about the situation, a downward spiral. Once I get into that downward spiral, I get so depressed to the point where I don’t want to get out of bed for a week. Sometimes I’m able to shake it off and distract myself but most of the time, like today, I just feel like laying in bed and not doing anything. I’m so tired of feeling this way, can somebody give me advice about how to stop myself from going into a downward spiral?

Hello, It must be hard feeling that way. In 7 cups there are some guides about that topic that may be of your interest, there are also lots of resources on the internet. Personally I have no idea of what it is to be on your shoes.

Self care practices could be of help, if you can do them. But maybe you cant, I dont know.

So I dont feel like I could give you advice, depression is very hard and even everyday task may become like climbing a mountain. All I can say is I have read you, you are not alone, and I wish you the best.

Hugs.
