Emotional Fog?

For awhile I've just been living in an emotional fog. Almost emotionless. This started after I was taken off anti-depressants, and continued through leaving therapy, etc. I never talked to my therapist about it, but I'm starting to feel like it's getting too hard to deal with.

Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone know why this happens? Is this a subset of depression? Etc.

Thanks.

Hello there @iAtlas,

Thank you for sharing your experience, I think it's okay to feel foggy at times when we are dealing with emotions and feelings, they can be somewhat clouded whilst we are traveling through them, i think the most important thing here, is to continue talking them through, so you are absolutely doing the right thing🙂 by talking about them, we are sharing the load and we can gain others perspective, digest the information, and use it to our advantage.

I Hope you feel better soon, and please remember, recovery is a journey, one that takes a little time to reach the end, but one that's very rewarding to go through because we become so much stronger for out future.

Good luck and best wishes

I get the mental fog all the time. It's like trying to run under water. And it makes things even harder. Some days just feel like it's foggy type depression and I'm not seeing the world correctly. Other times its like my brain just will not go type fog. I wish you the best and you should prolly talk to your doc about getting back on meds if your feeling down and foggy after being off them. Beat of luck. You can message me any time.
