How do I become more energized?

I feel like I have no energy to do anything at all these days. When I try to do assignments for school, I work for like 10 minutes, then get so tired and procrastinate my work which just adds more anxiety to my everyday life. Sometimes I don’t even have enough energy to eat or take care of myself. I just lay in bed all day. Does anyone know any good methods to start becoming more energetic?

Music helps, find a hype song/playlist and play it and tell yourself you can do this !! over and over. Then set a timer and just focus on the first ten minutes, then when it goes off say okay. Only ten more. And keep repeating. Congratulate yourself each step of the way too! You’re doing great!

Your habits define your energy levels:

If you have good habits, you will feel energized and will be more resistant to physical and mental exhaustion.
If your habits are misaligned, you can enter a cycle in which you feel worse and worse until it is a fight to stay awake.

Here are nine habits to increase your energy levels.

1. Sleep early.
Sleep is the basis of your energy. If you do not sleep enough, you will begin to have a bad performance.

While some people claim to work better with six or less hours of sleep, surveys say they are fooling. Seven to eight hours of sleep are mandatory for you to remain cognitively strong throughout the day.

For some people, sleep deprivation can have a mental plateau, which means they feel a little tired all day, but they do not think they are getting worse.

2. Exercise every day.
Exercise is a long-term investment in relation to energy levels.

In the short term you may not feel a difference when cutting the physical activity of your routine, but over time do not exercise will reduce your general physical conditioning, making it harder to think straight and stay alert all day.

If you strive to find time for exercise, do not make the gym a prerequisite to exercise. Create the habit of making push-ups or burpees every day at home.

This will make your heart pump more blood, is enough and you will not have to separate two hours on your already busy schedule.

You can add gym or gym classes along with a habit of making push-ups during the day, but this basic investment in exercises will keep you keen when you can not go to the gym.

3. Take a 20-minute nap.
The nap may seem like a lazy act, but there are research showing that it has a series of cognitive benefits. This is particularly true if you are learning a lot, since the short period of sleep can help with memory.

I used to feel guilty, taking nonsense, believing it was a sign of weakness. Now, I think it's definitely a force.

A short nap can make you get back to the afternoon, when you would normally be exhausted.
Even if you work in an office that does not encourage the nap, you can use a part of your lunch time to rest quickly.

The key is to learn to take short naps
Many people make naps for a long time, leading them to deeper phases of sleep, which make them even more stunned when they wake up (although the benefits even for these naplets often occur after the initial torpor disappears).

The key is to wake up immediately with your alarm. If you start adding longer, a fast nap can become a long sleep.

4. Do the hard work in the morning.
Try to do your job more important in the first four hours of the work day, starting as soon as possible.

The benefits for your energy here are mainly psychological.

My energy levels depend a lot on my mood. If I have done some important work, my humor is usually good and I feel productive.

If I lost time in emails, meetings, links or I could not produce something valuable, often I get frustrated and exhausted when entering the second half of the day.
The other reason for this approach is that deep work is not always sustainable throughout the day of work. It is best to concentrate on a specific period than insert it randomly into time intervals.

5. Define an intention for the next day.
Energy is often about the moment.

Start working hard and you will overcome procrastination and continue dedicated throughout the day. Start slowly and you may end up fighting your own impulses, wasting energy on things that are not productive.

One way to avoid this is to define a very clear intention of what your day will be like the night before, especially at the beginning.
Viewing this intention and writing it on your schedule can make this happen more automatically when you wake up.

6. Sale to your goals.
Many people simultaneously maintain two contradictory beliefs: that other people (marketing professionals) are really good at persuading them to do all kinds of things that would not do otherwise, but that they do not have the ability to change their own motivation to do Things have to do.

The truth is that you need to become the seller of your own goals. Not for other people, but for you. Part of this begins with packaging - as you frame your goals and designs can have a huge effect on your motivation.

Is this something you have to do? Or an exciting challenge?
And then always refresh your memory remembering your inspirations. Why did you get that way? What did you expect to achieve?

7. Have better friends.
You may not be able to choose your parents, colleagues or your boss. But you have some control over friends in your life.

You know that some friends make you more energized after a conversation with them. Others you leave the conversation feeling even worse than you were previously.

You do not need to delete friends who are going through difficult times, but should consider with whom you spend your time when there are people who consistently create unilateral emotional exchanges as a basis for their relationships.

Everyone needs a shoulder to cry a few times, but some people expect you to be your permanent shoulder.

8. Read better books.
One of the great benefits of reading books is not simply giving ideas and information. And yes, reinforce a mentality that usually occurs at a subconscious level.

The best books are not those who teach facts, but those who subtly change their thinking patterns. Audiobooks can be very useful for this, since you can hear them and re-listen to them every day.

A good book for this is the one who, when you hear it, automatically adjusts your thinking for the things you need to work hard.
Just as good music can be the background of a particular emotion, a good book can be the background of a particular energy of thought.

9. Align your life.
The last habit is not a single process, but a continuous effort to bring the different elements of your life out of the conflict and for the alignment with each other.

Much energy is wasted because the different parts of our lives, internal and external lives are in conflict with each other.

(The work colleague who does not want you to be promoted, friends who mock your goals or even the internal fears and assumptions that keep it hesitant.)
Spend some time disagreeing the different conflicts in your life to see how you could solve them. Maybe this can be done in the short term, making a change. Sometimes requires a long-term plan to escape the toxic environment, social circle or belief system that retains it.
