How do i find the will to carry on
Hello everyone. How do i find the will to keep going when I have absolutely nothing going on in my life. I'm unemployed, been struggling to find work for years now, i don't have any friends, im completely dependent on my parents and I'm almost 30, i have a boyfriend who lives in another country but because of travel bans, visa complications, and covid we haven't seen each other in almost two years. In reality, i don't have anything to stay for.
@sympatheticTortoise2560 Hi there! Unemployment is an uncontrollable debilitating force that can make anyone feel held back or unable to reach their potential. Many have struggled coping when they just aren't hearing back after submitting application after application. Since you say it's been going on for years it sounds like you have been persistent which shows a lot of inner strength amidst these struggles that aren't letting up. Feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to talk with, I am a listener. I'd just like to leave you with one question, you don't need to respond to publicly on here, just think to yourself if you want to, application and employment responses from others is one thing you can't control and since it's bogging you down, what are some things that you enjoy that you can control, like hobbies, activities, maybe volunteer experiences even though it's not the same as employment. It isn't a consolation or resolution to the lack of finding a job but feeling out of a control is a very serious thing that no one should have to suffer especially alone and getting back some of that control in seeminly little ways might actually be much greater one step at a time.
