How do you put yourself out there?

Im thinking a friendly and supportive soul could be extremely beneficial to me right now but I do not know how to put myself out there.

I have got a lot of money saved up so while I might not be the funniest person there's plenty of fun things I and my date could do.

I'm just wondering how I could do this without revealing too much so that nobody takes advantage of me for my assets yet still I come across as interesting.
