Should I go see a doctor?

Hi, I don't know how many times this question has been asked. I'm sorry... I just want to know if I really need to see a doctor? Or do you think I will eventually get better alone?

I am financially struggling as well, so I want more opinions, if possible.

My mood swings has been up and down for the last couple of months and lately it's getting worse. I start with my usual mornings then I suddenly get so irritated in the afternoons and so depressed at nights. It's affecting my relationship with friends and family.

I become disrespectful and my tone is condescending. I only notice it much later, after I said something horrible. I find it hard to control the words coming out of my mouth.

That's how I become to my friends and family thus I try to isolate myself from them so I can't hurt them any further.

But the more I isolate myself, of course, the lonelier I become. And it's driving me to the edge. For the past few days, I get bad headaches at night and cry for the most shallow reasons.

You might think why do I have to isolate myself. The truth is, I am also afraid to hear the things they say regarding my personality out front. And these things they say plus remembering the expression on their faces are what make me depressed at nights.

Waking up everyday has been really hard for me...

If you read through it, thank you!

If I wasted your time. I'm sorry...

@Sonraun If you feel like things are not getting better and they are getting worse. it is better to seek professional help. also even if it is hard but it's okay to lean on the people who care about you. it could help you in ways you might not think it would.

@Sonraun A lot of what you have described sounds like your having a really difficult time at the moment and depression can affect people in many different ways, for some they feel worse in the morning, some as the day goes on. As pressures and stress mounts, some people find they are less tolerant than they may have been, sometimes small things can really affect someone. if you have concerns yourself, which perhaps you may do, as you took time to place this post in the forums, then perhaps listen to your gut instinct about what you feel you need right now? Take care and hope things begin to improve for you

@Sonraun

Sometimes it is better to get help now before you go deeper into a hole that you can't dig yourself out of. Try talking to someone, and see how comfortable you feel.

I really think seeing a doctor for medication and seeing a therapist or counselor would help. However it's really up to you and what you think is necessary. It couldn't hurt.

I think seeking professional help/advice is a very good idea to help you cope. It'll put you at ease so better safe than sorry. Doctors are there for a reason - to help you so don't be afraid to make an appointment with them and get in touch. I hope you feel better soon!
