So many questions!

I haven't been officially diagnosed with depression, but am taking Prozac. I have experienced mostly physical symptoms with my illness and I often wonder/worry it's not depression, but something else. Does anyone else have more physical symptoms than mental? Frequent headaches, trouble waking up, body seems to be breaking down and not recovering as quickly as it used to. And now I'm unsure if the pains/feelings I have are caused by the Prozac or the depression? Is my dosage too low? Should I try yet another medication? Should I get off them completely?

Has anyone else had these feelings/symptoms? This all happened out of the blue and is a real life changer. I'd just love to talk to someone who's been through it and can relate! Thanks!

@Slemberger

Hi Slemberger! Thanks for your post! I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling with depression and side effects of the depression and/or the Prozac. I think it's really important to emphasize that while it's good that you are reaching out for advice here on 7 Cups, your best bet would be to talk to your doctor about what's best for you. Unfortunately, medication for anxiety and depression isn't a one size fits all and everyone has different reactions. It could take some adjusting before you find a medication that works for you! Again, I am not a medical professional so it would be best if you talked to your doctor about your concerns! Good luck <3

Honestly, it’s probably the prozac. Medication like that can cause a vast amount of side effects that can range from weird to unpleasant. If you have noticed these symptoms started roughly around the same time as you starting /increasing the dose of medication, it’s likely it is due to the prozac. If you have any issues remember to see a doctor!
