Tips for Getting out of Bed in the Morning

Hi all, my name is Julia and I’m new to the forum! My depression has been under better control over the past year due to the help of medication, self-talk, etc. However, one thing I can’t seem to shake is how difficult it is for me to get out of bed in the morning. I don’t have a problem when I have work or school, but on my days off when I want to try to get some work done, I’ll end up sleeping in until much later in the day. It feels like I have this dread and anxiety about leaving bed, but that always goes away once I start my day. However, it just leaves me feeling embarrassed and lazy that I get out of bed so late. Does anyone have any tips for how they jumpstart their day, more importantly, how to stop myself from crawling back into bed or hitting the snooze button? Thanks all!

@3ucky3adger7 i try to find something to be excited for in the morning like a cup of coffee. recently i've realized i tend to just feel better throughout the day if i get up rather than lie in bed all day so knowing that, i tend to get up easier.
