Unsure on what to do

To try to sum it up as best as I can: I’m depressed and can’t afford therapy (due to current unemployment), I don’t have any free services in my local area because I live in a small town, and all online resources I look into just say “go to therapy”. But as stated prior, I can’t afford it. So I’m just at a loss for what to do.
I should probably mention that medication is out of the question because I need to be fully able to work with heavy machinery.
