What is normal regarding feelings?

I have been on anti-depressants forever. I had recently been feeling very flat-line emotionally. I drastically reduced the med dose, with the approval of my dr. I felt wonderful -- energetic and not tired.

However, I've had some MAJOR stresses happen recently and now I've been weepy and, prior to that, not sleeping nearly as well. The problem is, I don't know how much of this is what I'm currently dealing with, and how much of it is "not normal."

I think I'll give it a bit more time, and hope I don't make a complete fool out of myself in public in the meantime.

I actually want to feel feelings again. I've spent years without them (and a lifetime before meds, hating them with a passion). I want to be able to have some barometer on what is happening in my life. But, I'm wondering if I'm feeling too much and ruining relationships.

@fearlessOak3002 It seems like you're groping and rediscovering in this "world" (I'm sorry for the term. I couldn't think of a better one) of feelings. Although I am no expert, I think that it is reasonable to observe it first and not jump into conclusions. I think it is a wise decision. smiley
