The article linked for diet could be elaborating more on vitamin D because D3 is the best dietary form for absorbtion so the body can make good use of it. It should also state more about sunlight UVB exposure when the sun is between 80 and 45 degrees from the ground (see shadows to tell angle), without cloud or shade or window glass covering because UVB is too easily filtered out of what reaches your skin and it's the only ray that can develope D nutrients with exposure. If you live in a cloudy climate you'll need a lot more D3 than someone living in a sunny area that gets out of the house a lot. 4000IU in Canadian units measure is maximum safe intake for average body weight. If you're lactose intollerant I highly recommend seeking things like lactose free yogurt which will list % of D3 daily intake right on the package.
