Hi @lilmisskris! Thank you for reaching out!

Firstly, let me say that I am not a medical adviser in any capacity. I also do not battle with depersonalization (or dissociative disorders) personally, so the following tips are based on my research only. But I hope my answer will still be of use to you in some way.

From what I've gathered it depends on the severity of the symptoms and on the person itself. Psychotherapy or talk therapy is often recommended because it can teach specific techniques which work for the given person on how to get through the episode. Often it includes relaxation techniques (e.g. like breathing in a 4-7-8 pattern).

I also found this handy list on Mind UK's website with various practical tips, e g. wearing a watch with the time and date, writing notes to yourself in the house or on a whiteboard or keeping a list of friends and family and their contact details so you could reach them to talk. I would highly recommend it to check it out!

I also recommend watching this video by Tracey Marks (FYI she is a real medical professional) - she mentioned CBT and hypnotherapy, and also medications options.

There is also this personal account of fighting depersonalization - maybe you will resonate with this story, too.
